#1400C Custom Medusa Buckle

This Custom version of the Medusa buckle, in Sterling, features 12 Rubies set in the eyes of each of the snakes. The rubies range from  2 - 2.5 MM in size.

The Medusa buckle was inspired by story in the Greek mythology of the beautiful but doomed Gorgon creature. Winged and with a head of writhing snakes, such was her power, that even after her beheading by Perseus, all who gazed upon her were turned to stone. The goddess Athena was said to have put, on her shield, Medusa's severed head for protection. For, even in death, Medusa retained her awesome power. features the Skull back bar. Signed and dated.

Size is approximately 3 1/4" X 2 7/8"  and the distance from the bar to prong is approximately 2 1/8".
